just bought 2013 got 106 miles almost slap worn out hahahahaha.
So the guy dropped it on trailer ,got scared and parked it. The rh covers got scratched and even though theres some talk on here about it , I cant definitively find the info if its painted or just cleared aluminum . its the lower model with mag wheels the rest looks so shiny and new its hard to tell by looking at it, anybody got any info.
(*sigh*) Dropped motorcycles. Not much fun.
Lower Model? In 2013 there was the standard model you have and the same bike with combined ABS brakes.
Our (2013) covers aren't painted.

thanks guys gettin the buffer busy now ( wife) after she makes breakfast, of course.
The covers were lightly polished then clear powdercoated, so will need to be stripped before re-polishing, then should be clear-coated.
The ignition inspection cap with the allen key on the right hand cover had slight scratches on mine when i got it, unscrewed it, cleaned it up with a scotchbrite pad and applied 3 coatings from a clear acrylic spraycan, still looks like new after 4 years.
Thanks guys got new covers from webike came quick people think its new and to my surprise they approach me and say "Hey is that a cb1100" weird that so many know of it considering all the other bikes out there,
