Satchit, any progress to report after 10 days?

A lot of post for ONE little screw !

Will be delivered early next week. I'll probably start with the smallest one and if that doesn't work move on to the one for the M4 screw.

If the above doesn't work, then I'll move on to the destructive approaches. pekingduck's suggestion for just cutting the cover is a good idea.

Hope everything works out okay for you, Satchit. I bought the Vessel JIS impact screwdriver on Amazon and really like it. Of course you do not have to hit it with a sledge hammer, it also works very well with gentle pressure. I used it like a regular screw-driver and it worked beautifully. Glad to have this excellent tool in my collection.

I have several of these if anyone really needs one that badly. Be glad to send you a couple. I bought extras some time back after stripping one on the old GS750 I sold last year.

Yes, perhaps it is better to have a screw too tight than having a screw loose ....
