Took the bike out last week and got caught in rain showers which resulted in it needing a good wash and blow dry yesterday. When I was wiping the front left indicator the orange lens part fell off in my hand. No force was involved, and it has never been bumped or bashed. The plastic retaining tab on the bottom, that is screwed to the housing, has simply snapped off. I'll have to glue it temporarily until I can order a new one. Has anyone else has this happen?
Yes a few of us have lost t/s lenses. Me only one, and I believe I glued it back on if memory serves me. It's been a few years.
Wouldn't help in your case, but the U.S. model '13 has the same signals as the VTX cruiser models, maybe the Shadows as well. I've swapped one of mine with a boot mark with a spare VTX signal I had in my collection from having a few of those in the past.
Lost signal lenses on 70's Yamaha. Glued it back on until it was time to deal with a bulb burn out. The bulb never did burn out.

Thanks for the info gentlemen. It sounds like lens breakage isn't that uncommon. Not the best design perhaps. I glued mine today and will order a new one (and a spare) tomorrow. Thankfully they aren't expensive.
I’ve lost several of the earlier larger 13 lenses. I bought new ones, and before I installed them, I put clear epoxy on the inside, making the tab to lens area thicker and reinforced.
