I wanted to give this an update. I got the gasket replaced. pulling the tank, heat plate and all of the electronics wasn't too bad. got it done in a day actually.
I wasn't able to completely pull the cover from the bike, but I fished the gasket under the cover which seemed to work pretty well. I did give the top of the gasket, o -rings and isolators a bit of o ring lube to help condition them and give them some hold when putting the cover back on.
As for the sealer, I used HondaBond 4 I read that is similar to the Threebond that is recommended. I found it to more viscous then I was hoping, I ended up using a Q Tip to dab is on in the corners of the half crescents (hopefully it was enough). While I was at it, I cleaned the frame and everything up. And replaced the fuel line clip and rubber keeper like Honda recommends. Torqued the bolts down to the recommended 7ft-lbs in 2 steps and got it all back together.
Weather has been pretty wet since so I haven't had a chance to see if it fixed the leaks and sounds better then it did but I will post back once I get the chance.
Thanks everyone for the help!

My 2013 had a small leak from the corner of the L-front valve cover, did nothing, then sold the bike.
The 2014 was dry as a bone.
My DLX had a very small weeping from that area, so I installed a perfectly matched OEM drain plug gasket under the bolt, as pictured.
Tested for 1000 miles, NO leak.
Thank you mvk24
