If you search the forum's Members Products section you will come across the oil filler cap made by ZRXman01. This is a beautifully made metal cap which is much more attractive than the original plastic one. If you require a tamper resistant oil cap, this one is a bit trickier to open than the original one. I use a pliers protected by a cloth. Thus you could say it is somewhat tamper proof.

... made in the U.S.A. too.
... what? No BMW on the list?
Good work Mark....and initially, I thought that you used to own these bikes Smile
Really, you gotta worry about that? Thank goodness my area is a "polite society" where you can park your bike and not have it disturbed!!!!!

I just ordered one from Greg and I can't wait to get it. Very nice piece of work.
Look up "My name is "Knurl"...Retro cafe' oil cap for the CB1100."
Makes a much more finished look to the bike.
Excited
I wish I lived and worked in a polite society. At least I can park my motorcycles indoors at home and at work, which eliminates a lot of variables. I don't think anyone would tamper with my oil here at work. They'd just steal the entire machine and trade it for whatever they're smoking in the camp on the train tracks behind my complex.

... sounds like an opportunity to acquire a motorcycle cheaply.

Are you suggesting that I go shopping at the homeless camp on the train tracks to see what I can acquire cheaply?
