What the heck is up with the price of aftermarket front brake and clutch levers? The prices are astounding!
I thought a nice little upgrade for the 1100 would be a cool set of brake and clutch levers.................little did I know that they cost more than tires! WTH???????
Back in the day, I had always loved the shape and feel of Magura levers. As I've found out, they are made only for bicycles now, which to me is even more puzzling!!!!!!!!
Evidently, PAZZO is the best brand nowadays but for God's sakes do I really have to apply for a loan to buy the damned things??????????
Can someone enlighten this old, fat, gray-haired guy?

Wait 'til you price aftermarket pipes--you'll have to take out a 15 year mortgage!
CRG levers are great stuff, machined from billet, nifty adjustment for lever span, gorgeous build quality. Expensive, true, but an extremely high quality product. I hear Pazzos are nice (ASVs too), but CRGs are the originals and that's what I would get.
Nothing at all....................I just thought some cool new levers would be a somewhat inexpensive cosmetic upgrade.
Compared to a new exhaust system they ARE inexpensive, but I had never paid attention to what it would actually cost to make the change.
Sticker shock I suppose. I still might get some. (Levers, that is!)
If you don't want to spend a $100 plus, you can dress up the stock levers with those black rubber end caps for $5 or less. Seach the site for part numbers. They come one to a bag, so order two. And get your wife or GF to help put them one. Helps to have small fingers to stretch the small openning over the lever ball. Hair dryer and WD-40 helps too.

Maybe a clue to the expensive levers mystery is found in the fact that PAZZO means crazy in Italian!
As far as I know, CRG is the originator of that type of billet, adjustable lever. Pazzo, ASV and an endless stream of Chinese knockoffs are just copies of the CRG original. I try to support companies that have the imagination and initiative to produce innovative product designs, so if I were to buy new levers they would be CRGs and not one of the imitators.
