I asked them about the seat from the Japan version and they had no idea what I was talking about. The guy I spoke with didnt know a lot about them but told me that he could tell I had done my homework thanks to reading this forum.

In any event, I can work around the seat and come up with some solution down the road. Its workable and that is what matters. The guy at Station Park in Louisville shot me a good price right off the bat with no hassle and he personally knew a lot about the CB. He told me it would only take him a couple of weeks to get one if I wanted one and to just let him know. That is where I will likely buy one when the time comes. It was 9,249 + tax and that was it. No freight or set up or anything.

I dont even have one but just fell in love with it like a teenage kid. Celebrate

That sounds like a great price to me. I played hardball with 6 different dealers in the Los Angeles area and $11k OTD was the best price I could find.

I think they are ready to sell them before the new ones hit the floor. A couple weeks ago I walked into a dealer here in Colorado, offered them $10K cash OTD and road home on it an hour later. No haggling, no discussion, just took the deal. Didn't cost me a penny more. Now I wonder what I could have got if I had pushed it.
A local dealer in Baltimore (Pete's Cycle) has a brand new CB on sale (in-store special) for $8799.
Good price, but once you add doc fees and set up fees and lord knows what else, out the door cost is more relevant.
