I saw a stock CB1100 parked across the street from 'Caddies' (a beachfront bar and grille) on the Sunset Beach part of Treasure Island today. It was there from around 11:00 am till about 3:00. I've never seen one of our CB's 'in the wild' before this... either riding or parked. Was it someone from this forum?
Wasn't me, of course, but you got me to thinking, I live in the Fort Worth area, and I have only actually seen one CB1100 in the wild, and that was a guy that was at the dealer's for servicing. (Baited patch, doesn't count).
Several people have come up to look at my CB, and many have said they saw one someplace, but I never seem to see one anywhere.
And I kind of like that.
Y'know, that got me to thinking...I don't believe I've ever seen any in the wild either. And I live in the major metropolitan Chicago area! My local dealer says they sold a few 2013's, but those guys must have taken them home and squirreled them away in the garage! My dealer said I was the first to order a 2014. Mine will be out on the streets!
I've seen a grand total of 3 here in Portland and the surrounding area.

Actually... I'm not correct in saying I've never seen one in the wild. Up near Dahlonega, Ga. last October I saw 2 in the parking lot of Riders Hill (a local bike dealer) and 2 more arriving as I was leaving. I forgot about that...
I saw 4 or 5 on one trip to Maggie Valley NC last year, but only seen 2 others locally.
I've seen 5 other than my own out cruising around. 4 on a group ride and one a few weeks ago at about 5pm on 680south just heading up the Sunol grade.
I HOPE to see a sixth sometime soon seeing as we have another member in the area now.
Since I've owned a CB1100, I've never seen another in the wild.
There are supposed to be several here in the Phoenix area, confirmed because at a least one is a member here - but I have yet to see another in the wild.
I haven't seen any in the Norfolk/Va. Beach area either.
