A thread on the UK forum advised that the cost of the CB1100 EX in the UK is ₤9,999.00. On today's exchange rates that's ~US$16,500 or ~AUD$18,000, although there's no guarantee that's how Honda would price it in either country. The 2010 and 2011 standard CB1100s were priced at ~AUD$15,000 which, I suspect, is one of the reasons they were not big sellers in Australia. I guess that's why we're not seeing the EX down under.
I thought this was going to be a rant about alimony.
ROFL

That is funny !!!
So, would these high prices be due to import taxes or some such?
UK web site says the 9,999 price "Includes first registration and road tax" (what ever that usually cost?) AND, you get the WIRE WHEELS!

Here in the USA we get the standard cast wheels Sad
but the EX (DLX here) is just $11,899 (UK 7200, Auz 13010)

TINK
Excited Well I was expecting it to be £9,199 as that's what I'd read somewhere. The dealer I bought my 13 from said "the new ones are gonna be ten grand!" But I thought that was just spin to reel me in. Even assuming it was to be £9,199 I found mine more appealing at £7600 with only 104 miles on the clock!!

This has compounded my relief that I bought it when I had the chance. No way would I pay ten thousand pounds (24% more) for another gear ratio and some other fancy bits.Celebrate

I'm a happy 13 owner proving 13 isn't as unlucky as everyone says!
Thanks Honda!
