Hope this shows up

I previously commented about the tiny gold flakes in the paint. Today while stopped in the sun they really showed up, so I snapped a pic. Hope you can see them.

Optional on the heated grips tbone.
Looks nice! I just can't stop looking at all these pics.

Did you do anything in particular to protect the paint from the tank bag?

No but I intend to..clear 3m sheeting. Just haven't gotten around to it yet

1. Hair dyer on low, they come right off.

2. No, I don't even think they are an option anymore. I have Progrip 719 Gel Grips on mine. Softer and stickier than stock grips.
Let me know how that sheeting works. I've seen how to pics for the "belt buckle" area but curious how to cover the contact patch for a tank bag.
Looks good, ferret, that is a really nice bike. Went by the dealer's today to see if my little black rubber thingies for my front brake and clutch levers ever came in, and strick up a conversation with the salesman I deal with. They recieved their first 2014 CB1100 this morning. A black standard. It was still in the box. He told me they sold twelve 2013 models.

Wow that's a lot for one dealership I would think.
The DLX really is a beautiful bike! Congratulations, Ferret, for your fast purchase. And also to all the other new owners. May the Force be with you. Smile

DAC, here are my templates for the clear pieces that will go on the tank..front of bike to right in pic ... Small piece goes above gas cap for your orientation. The sheeting I will be using will be the static cling variety..wet the tank down, apply the sheeting, squeegie the water out. Once dry it is very hard to see and does a good job of protecting the paint. I've had some on my St 1300 for 6 years.
