the sun is the biggest enemy ( UV rays) ...the material becomes cracked and brittle..after 3-5 years you will need a new cover...too the extra outside covers

Unfortunately, so true. If in direct sunlight, replacement is likely in less time.

Any special "silky rubbery feel" on the inside of the cover I would be leery of petroleum product breakdown. Keep an eye on it every six months.
You get what you pay for in a cover.

That looks like a very nice cover.
Let's hope in 2022 the cover lasts longer than from tradition.
