When I took off this morning my fuel guage was on 1 bar. I no sooner left and that one bar went to flashing and counting down at 55 miles remaining, so I rode and watched 55-50-45-40-35 (starting to get nervous) -30-25 (definitely getting anxious) -and at 23 miles remaining on the count down I pull in for gas.

here's the stats:

according to computer:

miles driven on tank 224.3 miles
23 miles remaining
3.9 gal fuel used
0.3 gal fuel remaining (what? that only adds up to 4.2 gals)
ave mileage 56.9 mpg

at fill up

Took 4.029 to fill
@ $3.599 per gal
$14.50 total
by calculator ave mileage 55.7 mpg

With 4.6 gal tank, should have had at least .5 gallon of fuel left good for approx. 27.8 miles

might..just might.. be able to get 250 miles out of a tank in an emergency.. 'might" being the operative word lol. Hope I never have to find out.

56.9 MPG is very good, probably due to the 6th gear? do you have this number consistently or you are careful for best mileage?

I mostly use my bike for city riding, short trip, I get anywhere between 45 - 50 MPG

Cbdtran.. The last 4 tanks have all been running in that range..and yes I have been using 6 th a lot more lately.

Interesting info Ferret. Got right at 54mpg out of my '13 last time. 6th gear is an asset that, if not needed, would still be nice to have.

normally, the bike has best mileage on a long road uninterrupted in traffic. I can't achieve 50MPG since I ride mostly in city, for short trip. I almost replace my car with my bike in summer time
