Just ride as often as you can; all your anxieties will fade away. For help in moving it about the garage, I recommend you purchase a Park n Move dolly.
Cost me $195 including shipping, best accessory I've purchased so far.

Yep, I kept reading to find out what the bad thang was, but never did discover such a revelation.
I second the dolly motion; I picked one up locally for about $80 for a Honda Rebel that never leaves the garage (still has 40 miles on it) and now it can be slid around easily. For the CB I prefer the turntable that allows it to spin around and face outward without loading onto a dolly, though.

Yes, I saw the dollys, but spinning it around really isn't an option in my garage!

Anyway, it fits beautifully in the garage; granted, there's only just enough room to walk either side of it, and I do have to reverse walk it down a sloping drive to get it in, but it's worth it to be greeted by the sight of that big headlight when I open the door!
