Is there a way to search for unread posts? I haven't been able to find anything.

On the computer I use the new posts option I believe it is called which shows me threads with new posts. When on the mobile device using tapatalk I just use timeline and it shows me threads with posts in order chronologically of their post.

'View New Posts' only gets you a listing of threads that contain new posts. I think he means once you then click on and enter one of those threads, it would be nice to again select an option 'View Unread Posts' that would bring you to the last post you read in a thread so you can easily continue on. As it is now, we have to guess at what page we think we left off, and then we are brought to the top of the page and still have to search and scroll down to where we think we left off.

For threads you have been reading, the bold title font tells you there are new posts, clicking on the green arrow takes you to where you left off (If I miss read your request then you already know this).

If you pop into a thread and don't read all the posts the software has no idea you didn't and will assume you at least read all the posts on that page.

I like to click "View Today's Posts." It seems to display any threads that are currently active.

In the web view, look to the right hand side of the page. If you're on the top page of the forum the title of the thread with the most recent post will show in bold with then name of the person who posted underneath. Click on that and it will take you to that post rather than the top of the thread.

If you're I. The section—eg General Discussion—you'll see Last Post and a name on the right. Click on Last Post (not the name) and it will take you to that post. You may then have to scroll back a bit to find out where you left off.
