Being in Minnesota, I got a leftover 2013 in January 2015 (good time to buy bikes). Sat in the garage longing to stretch her legs for a few months. Finally some decent weather! 46F today! Took her out for 29 cold but joyful miles. Wow! What a fantastic bike. Buttery smooth. Still basking in the afterglow of the ride.

Good stuff! You'll be racking up the miles soon!
They let you ride a virgin unit? NO miles on it before you took it out?

They must have been desperate to move it. Shops don't like to rack any miles up on new inventory...I got a $1500 discount on my BMW R1200GS, years ago, because it had 27 demo miles on it (and because it was almost two years old).
Was it worth the wait?

Congratulations
Nice.
Totally worth the wait! Tossed another 80 miles on her today, she even got her first tank of gas! Spring is here!

It only gets better with time, and miles! Mine has changed a lot, and the transmission has finally become that butter smooth unit that many of the magazine reviews were talking about. Initially, mine was notchy, and would often miss the 2nd to 3rd shift.

Yeah she's already getting better, I can feel the engine waking up as the miles are pouring on. Another beautiful day and another tank of gas (second fill-up).
