I have a 2014 cb. Black. What is the Honda name for this color? I can pull the code easy enough, but the nice folks at parabellum wanted to know the name.

I think it is NHB01 Graphite Black on the US 2014 model.

Metallic black is metallic black most of the time though.

I think that's correct for the EX available in Japan and Europe. The 2014 Standard (a.k.a. Japanese "Black Style") is a non-metallic black (according to Samurider). Couldn't find the color code on a Google search, but anyone who has one can get the code from under the seat and look up the Honda paint color name.

It may or may not be helpful, but the colour code on my 2011 CB1100 is NH463.
