I made a pattern of the holes on the rack, put the pattern on the bottom of the box, centered it, measures it and drilled it.

I put a rubber washer on all for bolts.

On each bolt, I put a rubber washer with a hole slightly smaller that the bolt's diameter, so the bolts won't fall out when installing/removing the box, and it rubber mounted.

One rubber washer, and one fender washer on all 4 bolts inside the box.

Not bad for a $30 box, and $10 worth of screws & washers. It's also waterproof, and removable in minutes without tool. Now I need some LEDs on that thing with a quick disconnect connector going under the seat...

I think you're right. It is just one step up from the milk crate. Not that the Honda top box isn't nice, but it's actually a little to nice for my taste, and for the bike IMHO. I wanted something a little bit more utilitarian, but not ADV looking, that still looked clean. I wasn't entirely sure of the outcome, but I think I like it. I think it goes ok with the bike, and it's three colors, red, silver, and black.

A little too close to the milk crate for me........... Next stop, white shoes, white belt, polyester pants, Member's Only jacket, and the scruffy little dog sticking his head out the lid.

Actually, if it was a bit smaller (narrower) it might be okay.

I wish I'd thought of it.

Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas any more. I think it's cool, but maybe mounted the other way.

I have to admit, I was prepared not to like this idea. I was wrong. It's very cool. I like the results of your thinking out of the box

I like it too. Great for camping or running errands.

One of those "why didn't I think of that" things. I like it. Going to fit one to my wife's V-strom.

Its like the Chinese food delivery guys scooters you see in the city. Nice job, just not for me.
