There was no "20+ Syndrome" indicated or implied... For clarification I was comparing the listed 1/4 mile time to a motorcycle that I am very familiar with that I consider a bad A$$... If the CB is that fast it has power to spare IMO.

Thanks for the clarification KFJ...and I agree..it does have power to spare and it sneaks up on you if you're not careful.

MY apologies, I just get tired of these HP threads and reading people's disappointment in the horsepower of the CB1100. Air cooled motors will always behave differently, and this one is no exception. They are harder to meet emissions, run much hotter, and don't always deliver consistent horsepower like it's liquid cooled alternative. But what about the bigger air cooled motors on the market you ask? Well, they run thick as heck oil with giant oil coolers, and will never outlast the CB1100.
I've said it before, and will say it again. If you want to do wheelies, 1/4 miles in super fast times, and have that twist of the wrist hp... Get a crotch rocket. I'll keep my CB1100

Quite right, xNeox. We all bought CB1100s knowing their horsepower and therefore their limits. If we want something with more HP (and I don't) we can always go get it.

I just ran a 12.01@111mph in a timed quarter. Plus a 1.9x 60'. The bike FOR SURE had more in it. I think an 11.7 is very reasonable. I also managed to pull off a very big wheelie. But I launched at way too high of an RPM. That wasn't a very fast pass. I had a guy at the track giving me crap, calling the CB a scooter. He had it in his head that it must be a race bike to me. But it isn't. It's a decently quick get-around. As a whole, the CB1100 is an AWESOME AWESOME package. Fast, comfortable, geared well, efficient, and simple. Gotta keep things in perspective.
