I've been thinking about this since it was first mentioned. A Superglide is certainly no lightweight bike and it would explain why I saw him run two stop signs, both of which were on hills.

The rest is explained by him being a moron.

If he can't safely ride the bike on that route while following the rules of the road, then he needs to find a different route to where he's going.

True Randy. I prefer to go a step further. This turkey shouldn't be allowed on a bike. Not only a bike he may not be able to ride. Any bike.

Maybe not bright enough to figure out a different route. Or even realize how risky what he's doing is.

The weight of the bike should have little bearing if he knows what he's doing. Sounds like he was lacking basic skills.
