Will Honda market a 2016 CB 1100 in the USA? Thanks
The honest answer.. We just don't know. Honda has not released that info yet. We certainly hope so. They did show 2 new concept CB 1100s at the recent motorcycle shows. That is no guarantee though.
The collective wisdom is probably along the lines of "if you want one, go get one while you can!". If you wait too long for a new and improved 2016 it MIGHT appear. Then again it may not and the leftover 2014's may be gone.

What do I know? I grabbed a 2013 as soon as they became available, then didn't care about the improvements on the 2014 model and got another bike instead, then wised up and ended up getting a leftover 2014 before I passed up another chance at a great keeper of a bike?

At least they're being offered somewhere Wink
If I've got that right, Geezer, it's the Taiwan Honda site and they want 488,000 Taiwan dollars for it. That's apparently AUD20,500 or just under USD15,000. I saw another Taiwan dealer site asking 578,000 Taiwan dollars! Must have monster taxes there.

The CB1100 and the CB1100EX are both showing on the Honda Japan website for USD8514.53 and USD9410.79 respectively. They've a great line up of bikes there, including two CB1300 models. See http://www.honda.co.jp/motor-lineup/?from=top_pulldown. Use the Chrome browser and it will (sort-of) translate it for you.
Thanks Cormanus ! Those CB1300's look very cool...... I AM SUPER CB

Some of you are probably aware of this (I wasn't) but there's no '15 model on the website, much less a '16.
Honda was convinced that the US market wanted the CB1100 based on reaction in bike magazines and elsewhere that the bike would be a hit in the US market. I think sales under performed here and dealers had to sharply discount 2013 versions in particular to unload them and likely provided corporate with negative feedback on the model. I am guessing that there will not be any fresh imports anytime in the near future of the CB1100. Hope I am wrong.
I think the bike could have been a smash hit if it was delivered with a hp rating that would satisfy the ego of younger riders. A lot of on-line ride review comments ranted "the bike is way too underpowered for an 1100! No thanks!" That would have required a peakier, water-cooled engine, which obviously isn't what Honda intended. Personally, I have zero complaints. I hope we see it return for 2016, but I'm not holding my breath.
My initial assessment; the CB1100 market would quickly saturate and Honda would be forced to withdraw the model. It lasted for two years instead of the one I expected so in my book the bike did better than I expected. Unless Honda wants to do more marketing to expand the potential buyer base, pretty much everyone that wanted one got one.

It would be nice if more folks wanted them but in the US, it appears the pent up demand has been met, with a big yawn from everyone else. Bugger.
