Hi there,

I don't know if you have seen this (hope I don't repost):

http://world.honda.com/design/designers-talk/cb1100/

I find this very interesting to understand how she was designed
Great Article !
After reading those series of articles, I was sold, and wasted no time in getting me a cb1100. Once I bought mine,. Knowing all the r&d nuances that went into the bike, ..I have a much deeper appreciation for my bike, and I take far better care of this baby than any of my other bikes.
Yeah, that article really helped me decide on the bike as well. As soon as I rode it, I knew that it was one of the most well designed bikes I had ever been on. Everything is so well integrated, so finished, so complete. It's just a blast to ride, every time I get on it.
I've seen this before, but I see they've added new DLX content. Plus, it's a good re-read anyway. Every time I read it I pick up something new (or forgotten). Thanks for posting it, Paul.

Oops. Correction: They've added new DLX info to the sister site, Honda Engineers Talk, which is also great reading.

That was a great read; one that I thought I had read before but realized it was the engineer-talk that Rolls linked to that I had seen. This was new to me. Thanks for sharing it. The design team certainly got it right with the CB1100. Everything comes together so nicely on this bike. It's why so many of us knew instantly that this was the one for us.
