Since I switched to Michelins backs are once again lasting longer than the fronts. I just had to replace the rear on my ST due to a nasty tear. What does that? lol
I think it's the price we pay for riding heavy bikes with strong front brakes, on relatively soft rubber. We didn't seem to experience this thirty years ago on our lighter bikes with wooden front brakes and less compliant, bias-ply tires.
