So I've been watching this 2017 CB1100 thing unfold. Maybe some of you have seen the latest pictures- they show three models: a black one, a yellow one and a red one. I'm really intrigued by the gas tank on this new model. I've heard it's the same tank they use on the CB1300.

My 2014 CB1100 is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Best bike I've ever owned hands down. But the tank runs down pretty quickly. I don't mind the mileage; 45 mpg is just the price you pay for such a great engine. But I wish I didn't have to pull in to gas up so much. Does anyone know the capacity of this new tank, and if I could bolt one on my 2014? I'd buy the black tank for my bike if it would work.
Jim, you're a bit behind Tongue

Two threads on this, the "general" 2017 CB thread with 7 pages already:

and a separate thread for the RS model:

Specifically to your question, the tank capacity will be 16.8 liter on both the new models, which is 2.2 liters up from the 2013/14 standard, and roughly the same size (i think?) as the DLX.
From what I read it's between the std and Dlx.. 16.8 liters 4.43 gals
