didn't mean to and it scared the he** out of me.
the morning started very nice as i set out on the CB1100 to do the back roads to the Kubota dealership and pick up my rebuilt bucket cylinder .
was such a pleasant ride for about 6 miles when i noticed my oil light flicker once. immediately i cut the engine as i pulled in the clutch then coasted to a side road to pull over. came to a stop while a Harley rider was looking at me and he came over wanting to help.
I had just got off my bike and noticed the oil filter was leaking so i told him i would need to trailer the bike home but he wanted to tighten down the oil filter which i declined.
about that time a young girl drives up in a jeep with no door's and a halter top on asking me if their is anything she can do for me so things are already looking up.
I say yea , my bike is leaking oil and i have to get it home which she replies i have a motorcycle trailer and live two doors down.
so really i am kinda done with the Harley guy although he was nice.
so i get to the girls house and when she gets out she is covered with tattoo's " Ink " I think it is called and tells me her old man is asleep inside and quickly gets him out of bed. This guy looks so ragged and is covered with tattoos , head . neck , arms without end , but he has a motorcycle trailer so i am good with that.
He opens his garage and their behold is 3 old Harley's and we laugh about the oil leaks as i watch my step.
the only one that runs is his wife's 883 and that is what we are to take to my house he says as lump forms in my trout .
I can not remember in the last 50 years when i rode on the back of a motorcycle and this thing is so junked out. so i get on the back after several efforts to crank it and soon we are on our way with me hanging onto a sissy bar scared to death. the engine gave a big hiccup as he pulled out in front of a car and was terrible at directions but the whole experience was near cardiac arrest terrible.
last turn to my home is the one i did the "180" a week or so before and had sand , was wet , gravel and oil there and he was taking it way to fast so i panic and lean the wrong way very hard which straightens him up but puts us off the road which bothers him but i do not think he would have made that turn.
sorry for the long story but this is what i found and the bike is fine , no damage.
