I sold my bike on Craigslist to a local young man.

The Africa Twin is more to my liking based on the type of riding I do and want to do. It has a very comfortable riding position, the seat/pegs/handlebar position are more relaxed. It feels lighter and seems to have more torque based on the seat of the pants feeling. No buzzy feeling on the highway in the handlebars. Good wind protection with the taller Honda windshield. 4.9 gallon tank, I should be able to get close to 200 mile range.

I want to complicate this forum and all those that participate. Very informative and helpful, and I like the atmosphere here!

As Bronson used to say, "Hang in there"
TC, feel free to stick around. We like people who like bikes and are happy to hear from them.
Thanks! I meant to say compliment.
Yes, I figured that, but I thought it was one of those autotext errors worth preserving.

Now you've sold the bike the classifieds thread will be deleted, so I've moved the final posts to another thread.
Africa Twins are cool. You did good.
TCB. Stop by sometime and give us a review on the Africa Twin when you put a few miles on it. Was looking at one couple of days ago. A 17 in red was sitting next to the red and white model with the D.C. Good lookin bikes and one could be in my future.
I too would be interested in hearing about your thoughts on the Africa Twin. Did you get the DCT or clutch?
I got the clutch model in Red White and Blue. I have a little over 2000 miles on it and really like the way it rides, handles and feels. Good brakes like the Cb1100, it does have ABS. Also traction control which both can be turned off. ABS rear wheel only can be turned off. Long suspension compared to the CB1100 which soaks up all the bumps, maybe a little too soft, but I like it. Good MPG, I get in the mid 40's with out any problem. The seat has two height adjustments and is a little tall. There is an accessory lower seat available. I am planning a trip in about a month to Colorado to do the Alpine Loop, then to New Mexico and Nevada to find UFO's, LOL!
Funny you should mention the Africa Twin--just looked at one at local Honda shop. Didn't ride it as it felt little high for me, but dealer mentioned it could be lowered some. Please do keep us posted on your experiences with it.
I'm seriously thinking about one (mostly serious drool.....). Will wait for the 2018 model though.
Just blew a wad on a new camera system. sigh....
