+1 on the ease of chain maintenance on the STD model. I love it.
I think the black color and chrome accents on the STD is bada**!! The DLX looks like an old man's bike (there, I said it! lol)

I get what you're saying, but if we're being totally honest, all CB1100s look like an old man's bike (and in the majority of cases, they literally are "old men's bikes", lol).

Imagine a world without "old man's" bikes!
Not pretty.

I just like the variety we are now allowed to enjoy with our "old men's bikes." The DLX pushes the buttons for some of us but not for others. C'est la vie! If Henry Ford had had his way, we'd all be driving $600 Black Model Ts.

Couldn't have said it better, Capo.

None of the other changes matter to me on such a mild tempered bike, and aesthetically, I greatly prefer the smaller tank shape as well. All CB's are beautiful bikes, though, so it's a win- win.

All the DLX features, especially ABS. Either way, enjoy !!!

I am truly sorry that for the rest of you, I am an old man. If my predilection for the old bikes disparages you young pups in the eyes of your peers, I am truly sorry. I love this old man's bike. But then I am approaching 70. and have owned 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 00's. and now a 2014 STD. I have ridden a variety of cruisers, sport bikes, race bikes, street fighters, and standards. Somehow the modern bikes seem to me to have drifted away from the concept of a simple motorcycle.
Thank your Honda for remembering.

It's all in good fun Jim. Even at the spritely age of 55, these days I consider myself an old man (understanding of course that it's all relative). I started this forum because I think the CB1100 is awesome (as does most everyone else here as well). Rest easy.
