I may be behind here (per usual) but just saw a commercial that Hero from India is coming to the states.

Interesting. Virtually all of Hero's products are under 250cc. Not a big market in the U.S. for bikes of that size.

On the other hand, Hero used to own 49% of Buell before they went belly up. As I recall, they bought some of the assets in the liquidation. Maybe they'll be bringing the Buells back.

Do you think they might do what other manufacturers have done when showing up on our shores...up the cc's? There was a discussion here and on the Rat forum about smaller cc bikes and a possible market for them here. Would an Indian made 400ish cc (good fit and finish and good dealer support implied) have a chance here?
From what I read this outfit is one of the biggest manufacturers of 2 wheel transport on the planet.

Royal Enfield is bringing in a 441 cc ADV bike and some 650 cc twins next year.

I'm not sure good fit and finish, and good dealer support should be used in the same sentence with Indian made bikes.

Bwahahahahaha! Indeed. This group moves some units though. Maybe they will bring a legit presence.

They are very good at making bikes suitable for the Indian market.
