A little over two months ago, I traded in my '14 standard...long standing idle issue that I didn't feel like being patient with in time and $$$, coupled with it in need of valve check, tires, oil-n-filter...coupled with great price on a new '17 Triumph Street Twin...4 years free interest, 2 year warranty...it seemed like a decent move at the time.

Took me about two weeks to realize that I didn't like the Twin like I did on the test ride. Maybe I was just excited about the idea of being idle hassle free. 700 miles later and what to do? Ride all summer on a bike I'm not that excited about? Or...go back to a bike I knew I liked?

Did you know previously used RLETs go on rather easy? with 1/2 drop olive oil and 14 seconds in microwave

I've never done a quick vehicle turn-around like that before in my life. But I'm at peace with the decision.
Sweet....looks like a Deluxe! Congrats...and welcome back.
2017...with 4 miles on, 3 of them I put on riding around the block. I live in Oregon, but went to Seattle to purchase this one. Where I bought my '14 they were out of '17 models. Another dealer about an hour from me in Hillsboro had one, but they were wanting about $1200 more, so I went north. Since OR has no sales tax, neither does WA for residents of OR. Arranged everything by phone, within an hour of arriving, bike was loaded on the pickup and ready to return home.

That RLET has now been on a '14 CB Standard, a Street Twin (I had issues letting go), and now on this beauty...

I always liked the twisted 4-->1 look on the Standard, but I think this will grow on me:

The tank...to me there was nothing wrong asthetically with the seamed tank... more curvy now...differnt...I like them both ways.

Lovely! Welcome back. And congrats on returning in fine style on that ‘17.
Welcome back , beautiful bike and very fast RLETs install.
I boiled mine , stretched them over a magic marker and used water based personal lubricant on them to get them to go on. Thumbs Up
Welcome back, pdedse! Gorgeous bike! Now you've got that new motor smell in your garage again, and you can listen to the 'tinking' of that cooling motor.

I'm just so pleased with my '17! It's really nice when the bike ya dream about turns out to be all that and more once ya start riding it!

Don't forget to add your VIN to the registry.... I'm curious to see where yours falls in.

Lotsa miles and smiles! Beer
