she finally arrived today.

The whole process went really smoooo....th!

It used to belong to forum member Stateboy. He not only had a great bike for sale but he was really good about taking care of every detail to get the bike ready for shipping. I got updates, pics, info etc. etc. That and he included many things that weren't part of our original negotiations. He's a honest, responsible, generous, careful guy.
I got lucky! Not everybody is that nice! Thank You!

Not having done this before, I thought the only ones gonna screw this up would be the shippers, but they did an excellent job too! I recommend them highly... not an original name "Motorcycle Shippers" but they did what they said they would do. Deliver it on time and for the amount I paid. Talk to ED.
Not a scratch or ding to be had. Cost me $650 to ship from MI to WA

The only thing I'd say - this is the best time to buy a bike and have it shipped. It does take time to get everything lined up so you have to be patient and have faith. Not something you want to do in the middle of riding season if ya know what I mean.

Now I got to go read the intructions!
What a great looking bike. Congrats.

Doesn't surprise me a bit about stateboy. Always seemed like a great guy on the forum. Hope he enjoys his new camping experience.

Glad everything worked out for everybody involved.

Best of all you get to go riding on a wonderful, well taken care of, low miles deluxe.
Congrats, el duque! I know you've been at that for some time, so I imagine it's quite exciting to see it arrive save and sound. A great looking bike.
Your gain is the Midwest's loss, el duque. That is a great looking bike that I had hoped to see tooling around the shores of Lake Michigan one day. Enjoy!

Can I add that I put the Harbor Freight version of Ferret's highly reflective highway tape on the Emgo trunk. It doesn't make for good pictures in the twilight or evening but it sure likes headlights and camera flash! :-)

Empty Sea, unless El Duque gets all the way over to the Great Lakes, this may be the last pic of it on Lake Michigan.

We'll still have lunch or something, Stateboy...as soon as it warms up just a tad more.
I'm waiting but your right. Still a bit cool with the lake.
That's awesome el duque, the bike looks great. I'm sure stateboy must have been sad to see her go.

$650 seems like a pretty reasonable shipping price, I doubt it would be that cheap here. Heck, it costs $100 just to mail a rifle.

I can't wait to hear your impressions of your new bike.
Congrats El Duque!!
Congrats! El Duque! Enjoy your CB. Still a lot of good people around, especially here at this forum! Have fun smiling!
