One of the things I am nor particularly keen on is the rather bland looking silver garnish rail. Chrome, stainless, or polished alloy would look much better, Does anyone know of any alternatives?

I just removed mine completely as soon as I bought my bike.

No need for them with a more traditional grab bar installed.

The new CB1100 EXs have a chrome garnish (seat rail).

Just ordered a Kappa KR1118 rear rack in chrome with grab rail for my 2014 EX. The wife said she felt her arse was coming off the seat so hopefully bit of a confidence bar for her

A buffing wheel should polish them right up.
