The CB1100 Community Forum

Hey everyone,

It has been a long while, and some bitter sweet news. I just listed my 2014 cb1100 for sale but I'll be picking up a 26 cb1000f tomorrow. 

Full turn key, ready to go, never crashed, dropped, or laid down. 24769 miles on the clock right now.

- Clutch was replaced at 24k miles. EBC fibers and HD springs, new OEM Steels and judder spring.
- The T32 Tires have less then 4000 miles on them.
- Oil, oil filter, and chain have been serviced every 3000 miles.
- Brake and Clutch Fluid changed once a year.
- Brake pads were replaced around 14k miles and still look great.
- Last year the valve cover gasket (seeped a little) was replaced and has been bone dry ever since.

I have a full service history for the bike. Its always been garage stored, and stored with fresh fluids for winter.

The bike has a dart flyscreen, CB500 mirrors, Arrow slip on, SWMotech saddle bags, and a SWMotech rear luggage rack, oil cooler brace, crash bars and tank grips. I'm keeping my RLETs but I'll be including the factory slip on, and other OEM parts.

I am currently asking $5200.00 OBO. Let me know if you all think I'm priced too high, these are fairly hard to come by in my area so I'm not really sure where to put it.

I should mention I'm located in Oregon. But I can meet a serious buyer somewhere.

Your CB1100 looks great, and I wish you well with the sale.  Your new ride--the CB1000f--sounds really exciting.  I would greatly appreciate a review / photos of it in the "other bikes" section when you have the time.  Sometimes I think what would I buy if my CB1100 got stolen, or something "bad" happened to it.  And the bike you're getting is one that I've been paying attention to more and more.  I think the only color option is the silver/blue, true?  Very nice looking bike...happy for you and your new ride, but always a bit sad to see another member move on from the CB1100.

Thanks I tried hard to keep it looking and working as it should. Even tho it isnt a difficult task with our bikes.

I'm pretty excited for the new machine. Tbh the only reason I'm getting it, is for some more punch, and better tire options. The added tech is nice because this will be my daily rider when it isnt raining. It was actually pretty tough to find one. All of my local dealerships say they are only getting one and they all have deposits already. This one, is about a 2 hour drive away.

From what I understand, in the US they are only bringing the silver and blue in the "base" trim for 2026. So no fairing, and no quick shifter. I'll probably end up adding both, plus the OEM saddle bags, and center stand, plus it'll be the new home for my RLETs. Maybe theyll add some other flavors in 2027.

I'll definitely give a write up on it and lurk around even after the cb1100 finds its new owner. And maybe if it doesent sell over winter I'll talk the wife into riding the cb1100 and we could sell our old shadow tourer instead.

I wonder why the cluch was replaced at 24k, I had 3 CBs with 56k kms, 134k kms and still have my dlx with 45k kms, and have never had any issues with the cluch

Here in Canada, we are awaiting the CB1000f arrivel...will it come..???

The one bike I'd consider selling my CB11 for has arrived, and you're making the upgrade before me(or a few of us) Congrats!!

Your STD is very nicely sorted and priced cheap IMO, should find it's new home very soon, even with fall right around the corner.

Thank you! I noticed it was just starting to slip when I would have it in 3rd or 4th and go to accelerate.  I honestly probably could have lived with it for another 24k miles but I wanted to make sure it was right.
When I opened things up the fibers looked relatively fine, maybe a little dark but still had bite left, the steels seemed to be a bit blued and kind of warped, on the same face through several of them there were stipes of shiny sections and some duller ones. I really have no idea what would have caused that, I don't think I abused the clutch too bad but I have been getting stuck in more stop and go traffic on the hotter days of summer, and lane filtering here in Oregon is a big no no still, so that could have something to do with it. Basket and hub both looked fine, and the springs are also probably fine. But I figured while I was in there. I might as well replace the springs, and the EBC clutch was decently inexpensive. The OEM steels and judder springs weren't too bad either. All in all I think parts were about $220 or so.

Definitely call your dealerships and keep an ear to the ground. They are selling about as fast as they can get them.
I'll do a quick post about my experience so far. Its not been too smooth so far unfortunately.
