“You can avoid a dealer for almost every service part, except for the complex valve service.”

Where is a section on the front forks?  I drained and filled the fluid and went through the realignment steps pretty easily.  Replacing the seals is a bit trickier and seeing a video would be really helpful.
Thanks rdprdp01, that's actually my video. I enjoyed making that :-). I have a new Honda Oil Filter and Motul Oil ready to go for 2026. All other items in good shape.

I've not done a front fork service on the CB1100EX BV-Prostaff, unless I have a fork problem I probably wouldn't look at it until I hit at least 40,000 km or beyond. Some manufacturers state to change every two years and some change based on mileage. The common two year interval you see from a lot of manufactureres, I believe, is to generate dealer servicing billable hours and well over the top and mostly unwarranted.

Honda generally do not have a fixed mileage or time limit to change the fork oil, at least on the CB1100 anyway. They leave that to the service partner to "inspect" but no mandatory change.
Your videos are fantastic. Your love of motorcycles, pragmatic insights, and that infectious Irish sensibility is irresistible. Over 2 milion viewers of your Internet work clearly share my opinion. Please keep posting here and on YouTube. David
Agree, I liked the video.  "Motorcycle cooling air" was a good twist.  Also, suggesting it is okay to follow the manufacturer's schedule for oil filter change was guaranteed to stir up the crowd!  Big Grin
Very nice, comprehensive video! I did like the coolant check procedure...
Valve check... scary... haven't done it!
I will be coming up soon on my annual oil change for all of my bikes, and have stocked up. Except maybe filters...
