A long-time riding buddy introduced me to Bear Butt hammocks, and I've grown to like them quite a bit.  We've done a couple of trips to British Columbia and he frequently was looking for a spot to set up his hammock during our breaks...and I thought what a waste of time.  But they literally set up in 3 minutes and are super easy to do so.

This summer and last I've ditched the tent a few times because I knew it was going to be decent weather and some where there would be trees.  I actually sleep pretty well in them.  4 nights in hammock while on mc trips so far.

The hammock and straps pack well.

After lunch on this Spokane ride, I was feeling sleepy since I had gotten up at 4:30.  With the heat my eyes were drooping and my head knodding as I made my way home.  But as I was sitting on the grass at a park, I happened to be between 2 perfectly distanced trees and I was asleep 10 minutes later.
Any sprinklers hit you this time?

"This time" was 4 nights at a hotel, so nope!  Only a 45 minute nap at the park where I rested-up on my way home from Spokane.  I would have loved to feel sprinkler water though because of the heat.

I thought I was being pretty clever when I tried hammock-camping at a local park on my way to see you last year.  Those park sprinklers pump out a pretty good amount of water.  I haven't moved that quick since.
Nice photos, good read.
