I don't think this is an official Honda video, but pretty cool nonetheless. I've searched CB1100 videos a lot on YT and surprised this one has never came up before for me.

Honda CB1100 Official video

Looks like the first one I had.
As I recall, m in sc, you're quite right. I'm pretty sure it was filmed in New Zealand and was made before the CB1100 was released in the USA.
I remember seeing that video before I bought mine. Made me want one. The part where he is watching the vintage plane and chats with the pilot is very similar to a situation I had.

Years ago I was riding along on, I think it would have been a VTX cruiser at the time. I watched as a Ford Trimotor from the 1920s was flying around. It came right over me and landed. Not quite as romantic as a pastoral landscape… I was on The 405 on the way to work and the Ford was landing at Long Beach Airport. The runway butts up to the freeway.

I pulled off of the freeway and followed the plane till it stopped and parked. Chatted with the pilot, and he was selling rides.

What would you do? Yes, of course I called in sick and took a ride!

THIS is why you follow whims on a motorcycle!

As anyone in his right mind would do. A Ford Trimotor? Once in a lifetime opportunity. I've gone to all kinds of airshows and EAA events and seen all kinds of airplanes and NEVER have I seen a Trimotor. You made a very wise choice, my friend. I had the honor of meeting Gene Hambleton, of Bat 21 fame years ago in Tucson. I don't know if the book he wrote is still available, but it was a very entertaining story, especially if you like golf, aviation and excitement. The movie featured Gene Hackman, Danny Glover and Jerry Reed (who didn't sing, but got in the movie because he produced it.) Sorry for the detour off motorcycles. I beg forgiveness.  Big Grin
I've seen this one many times.
