I'm a relatively new member on the forum, and a brand-new CB1100 owner.  I picked up DLX number 119 yesterday evening and trailered it home.  It's in decent shape, but needs a little attention.  I'll be coming back for advice on anything I can't find already on the forum.  I'll be putting the original exhaust back on.  But the first thing I'll do is get some new rubber on it.  And I don't mean tires Wink
Welcome to the wonderful world of the CB1100!

What exhaust is on the bike currently?
Welcome and congrats.
The DLXs are the best.
Awaiting to hear about "a little attention "
Biker
Looks great! Fun to bring a new bike home. Welcome to the forum.

I don't know.  It flairs out to the sides and is loud.  Just not my thing.  I like the look of the stock pipes and I'd be happier with less noise.

Well, a little general clean up is needed.  Also some bits of hardware are starting to corrode here and there.  It's due for tires and oil/filter change.  And (this is weird) the center stand is unsound.  The previous owner said he accidentally stepped on it when trying to wheelie and sent sparks everywhere.  Hard to imagine, except I can see it is ground down badly.  This story came out after the paperwork was signed.  I missed it on my inspection and it made me wonder if I had bought from the right seller.  But my test ride seemed fine.  It started, ran, shifted, and stopped like it should, so I think it is sound.
..."The previous owner said he accidentally stepped on it when trying to wheelie"... Huh

Well thats something you don't hear everyday
Congratulations Lunchbag. I think I'll not try using the centre stand as an aid to wheelies.
