My preliminary guesses follow:

Vibration: Most likely not related to engine stuff. May be related to after market handlebar weights that were placed into service instead of the factory weights. If they are not heavy enough, the vibrations will be felt when the motorcycles creates the momentum / force which required the counterweight in the first place. I had a similiar experience when I purchased my motorcycle. A return to OEM handlebar weights solved it. Heavy is good; light is bad. Smile

Tire pressure can also impact vibrations felt on a motorcycle. Few people check tire pressure often enough. That said, your answers indicate that you have confirmed tire pressure, balancing, and alignment are not an issue.

10W30 is the recommended oil by Honda for a CB1100RS. May account for some of the knocking sound.

Take these quick responses for what they are: quick responses.

Let’s see where PB lands before any actions are taken. David
Could we please move further discussion of TheLegend's knocking and vibration issues to this thread, https://cb1100forum.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=14403?
