Member kennyw created a map showing members' locations. Here's his post with instructions and a link to the map.

I have added groups by continent.

Step 1, type your city and state in the search box and select the correct result.

Step 2, click "ADD to MAP"

Step 3, click the edit button

Step 4, add username to name field and anything you feel important to the description field. Then, click save.

Step 5, verify it added to the correct continent and shows on the map correctly.

This is pretty cool! I entered my info, and I see my dot on the map, but my name isn't next to it. Is that because I'm looking at my own dot?

NO, because you are very well known and every member knows your location, Gone  Tongue

Great instructions but I am failing, miserably. Hilarious

I am unable to select my city to drop a pin. I have adjusted all of the browser settings I know to adjust to be able to make that selection. Please advise and I am sorry for the trouble. David

I’m WORLDWIDE Baby!  Cool
OK. I wondered when Gone said earlier that he was having trouble seeing his name whether the map had reached capacity, but I don't think it has. So, let's see if these extra instructions make sense ...

  1. Open the map by clicking here.
  2. Look to the left of the screen and see a box marked North American Rallys.
  3. Immediately below it is a box marked North America.
  4. If you are wanting to place your location in North America, click or tap within that box and make sure that a blue line appears down the left-hand side.
  5. Now place your mark in accordance with kennyw's instructions and you should appear.
  6. Alternatively, you can get to the end of instruction 4 and then select the button icon next to the hand under the search box, scroll the map to where you want your location to be and then click on the map.
  7. Should you, like me, not be in North America, scroll down the box on the left-hand side and select the the appropriate continent for your location. In order to make sure you and other owners in that continent appear on the map, make sure there's a tick in the little box to the left of the name of your continent.

Gone in 60, I have moved your mark from the North American Rallys box to the North America box and — for no reason I can give — your name has appeared beside your little blue peg at the intersection of North Lemon Street and West Chapman Avenue adjacent to the Orange Street Car Memorial and bang on top of NP Shah Notarary.

Hope the above helps. If it's not clear, let me know, and I'll include some screen shots.

PS, I didn't know this until a moment ago: you can search for a member by typing their name into the search box. If they have put their location on the map, they'll appear in the list of options.
Thanks, Cormanus! Interesting location for my dot. Right next to my favorite burrito place in town! I like it!

I managed to register with my iPhone.

I struggled with my Laptop, which I have locked down like Fort Knox!

Thanks. David
I got my info set up on my burner laptop. Only use to chat with you guys and Mom.

Interesting, I took the liberty of renaming your marker from 'Pleasanton' to rdprdp01, and moving it from the rally section to the North America section. I could not do it on any of the 3 browsers I have on my iPad, but easy in Firefox on a laptop. All that being as it may, I use Google MyMaps quite a lot and it can be temperamental and unforgiving so it's not totally surprising that you had trouble.

I've never heard of a burner laptop, but it has a very sinister ring to it.
