Full Version: 5-10 Minute delete window

The old forum gave us the option to delete a new post within a given window of time. I noticed that functionality was present initially, but now missing. It would be nice to have the option to remove a post within a few minutes at least.

I have setup things such that a Member can modify or delete his own Thread or Post at any time. Not sure why you could not. The only thing I can guess is that the Forum logged you out by mistake. Please try again, Whoops, and let me know if it works. Please take screenshots if it does not with your reply:
The Ferret or Lord Popgun or Randy B may recall this better than me, but the other forum admin imposed the window because there was a period where some members were rewriting or deleting posts in a way that made nonsense of what came after them. Moderators have edited posts on request where it made sense to do so and the window closed.

I do not see these options..????
Peter, can you post a screen shot of one of your posts?

This is what I see ...

[attachment=208]

You can see at the bottom that I can edit, delete, restore, reply or quote the post?

Not sure, but only moderators may be able to restore a post, but you should see the other options.

Thanks, Peter. You have edit. I'll check up on the delete function and report in due course.
Cormanus and I will sort it out. Thanks for letting us know and we will find what layer the function is hidden it as soon as possible. Thanks for the patience. More to follow as we go down the rabbit hole.  Smile
