I've decided to try a 3/4 helmet for the first time and ordered the Biltwell Bonanza (gloss black with chrome trim) along with a Bell 3 snap flat smoked shield. Revzilla is reliably fast so I expect to receive them by the middle of next week.

Photos and a report to follow...
I see that you were able to refrain from going full retro with the metal flake options Big Grin

Those are cool looking lids. Looking forward to hearing about them.

Ha! I feel like I'm too old to go too retro, if that makes any sense.
A 3/4 is actually my favorite summer time lid. Almost as much wind protection as a full face, and for me the convenience of a flip shield. A 3/4 with a flat shield is not quite as convenient, but have a more traditional look. ( I have one of those too but only wear it when it's over 90 lol.)

Can't wait to see yours.

.
My Biltwell Gringo has quickly become my favorite helmet by far. !! I'm sure you will enjoy the 3/4, can't wait to see some pictures.
or a link.....
Thanks guys. I think they sell a flip shield contraption that can be fitted onto the helmet but I'm not certain. I'll see how the flat shield works and go from there. Goggles maybe?

C'mon HikerToo...were you one of those kids that snuck open his presents before Christmas then rewrapped them and pretended to be surprised come Christmas morning?

I try to be as careful as the situation dictates without being overly tentative. But I don't mind the reminder. Thanks.
