Hey, legend. Congratulations.
Congrats, I put 52K miles on my 2013 before trading it in, never felt the 5 speed was lacking. I often find myself finding in 4th gear on the 2017 forgetting I have two more gears to shift up though.

Thanks to all your input and help. I pulled the trigger and bought a Brand New 2013 CB1100 left over this evening. I walked in and offered $600 below what they were asking and got it! I had been in to look at it 6-7 times over the last year or so and decided tonight was the night. Thank you for all the input on the five speed not being a deal breaker and if the bike was good for touring. I went in a few minutes before close and was excited that I forgot to take pics although you all know what it looks like haha! I'll probably take delivery this weekend. I'll miss my old bike dearly but I am definitely ready for some CB adventures and look forward to chatting with all you!
Thank you all again for being so welcoming!

Congratulations! You now own what is undoubtedly the best looking CB1100 Honda has ever produced. In my opinion of course (yes, I'm biased, lol). That's actually pretty incredible — consider me impressed. Enjoy!

Well written, I agree.

One thing to watch out for that a couple of us got burned on (and only a couple so it must be big feet and long inseams). The rear brake pedal sticks out too far making it very easy to ride the rear brake and not know it. Especially if you have big boots on (e.g. Sidi Adventure or Rain boots). This will warp your rear rotor in no time.

I "adjusted" my pedal by bending it in a wee bit which seems to have helped in my case. Being an experienced rider I did not expect this sort of thing to happen to me - twice. I'm much more aware now. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to not suffer the unique leg and feet thing to make this happen to you.
Congrats on the new bike. I love my 2013 and agree that it is the most handsome of the lot. Cool

I'd be mindful of the 5+ year old tires and battery, other than that enjoy the ride! Biker
Congrats, mines a 2013 bought last year with 1040 miles on the clock, love it !!!.
