Take look at Cycle World, November edition, Page 28 (online edition). MM puts the bike down, gets most of the way off, shoulders it up and gets down to business without missing a beat. That boy was born to ride.

The YouTube link is:
Not as nice or detailed as the Cycle World but you will get the picture.
That was a great save! Wow
What an amazing series of shots.
That's why he is an alien, able to defy the laws of physics.
Incredible..especially when you consider he is probably running between 100 and 120 mph at the time. Talented and fearless.
Insane. Love how you can still see a hint of daylight under his front tire while he's still muscling his way back up...hardly even letting up on his exit throttle!

Don't know if you're looking at YouTube or Cycle World. On the Cycle World shots the exhaust is trailing sparks. It's just got to be going down. And you are right, "insane" is appropriate. As is amazing, alien, incredible and great.
Cheers
While dragging a knee and elbow, might as well drag a cheek while you're at it! That was an amazing save!

He had to save it or he would have hit some nasty poles and the curb from the looks of it.

This blew my mind when I saw it in CW. I have to say may favorite shot was the one where his front wheel is ever so slightly off the tarmac.
