Hi Mickey..I just read this ......I hope you're feeling much better.....Tuesday I had a 7mm stone in my left kidney lasered and I am taking it easy at home. I have to see my Dr. next Tuesday to have the stent removed......they did a CT scan, an x-ray, and a MRI when I was having severe pain Oct. 31, 2016......they found a 4mm growth on my right kidney so in March I will be having surgery at USC medical center to remove it. No chemo or radiation will be required and the doctors said having the kidney stones scanned was a blessing in disguise as they were able to find the possible cancerous growth in its infancy! I probably would have ridden home too from the dealership...we think "I don't want to call 911 and make a big deal"......take care, Randy

Wow Randy 7 mm is huge from what I was told. In your case it was a blessing, and I hope the surgery takes care of the other issue.

I've had people I know go through this, ufdah, hope to avoid it myself. One of those thing where you're afraid you won't die.
I used to hear that grapefruit juice was a good preventive. Not sure if that is still true or not. Since you just read this on the Internet - it must be!
good luck in the future!

I've just read your story, Ferret. Ouch. If it's as painful as gout, double ouch.

Just got back to the forum and saw your troubles, Mickey. I'm so glad all is better. And thanks for the thorough report. Lots of good info there that I didn't know.
