Good thing he had a tail pack- it appears to have saved him from a spine impact.

I can't say I've never ridden over such a bridge before- but after watching this I never will again.

Wow.

He was extremely lucky- not only on the actual impact itself- but to have a friend along, and a strap of some sort- although they don't show how the bike was removed.

I think the lull around the 3 minute mark was when he went to take a leak and come back- duly earned. Tongue
I read—I think on the YouTube site—that they got the bike out by removing the handlebars and then lowering it carefully to the ground. As you say, he was very lucky he had the tail bag.
