This kind of thing goes in my view in exactly the opposite direction of why I ride a motorcycle - not to be connected to "the grid" but to escape from it. And what guarantee would I have that the software installed on my communication device will not communicate all my movements and whereabouts to those that I have no particular desire to be in the possession of this information? Is this something that anybody would want, and of what possible use would it be?

I think it's cool, and in the context of modern connectivity, I'm not bothered by it. Not sure how it embellishes a bike as basic and retro as the V9, perhaps something that catches the interest of the younger generation. They're so deep into connectivity that this would be normal, and perhaps an incentive to consider the MG.

I think it's cool too, and probably inevitable. I guess , if you like the bike and don't like the connection bit, you just don't connect.
