Shameless plug - they just changed out the motorcycle display at the Petersen Museum in L.A. I got a look over the weekend, and if you're into vintage Italian bikes, you'll really like this one.

The display, Silver Shotgun, features Italian design of the '60s and '70s.

The website shows info for the exhibit opening gala, but the display is part of the normal museum admission. https://www.petersen.org/events/2019/12/...er-shotgun

Remember, the museum features free motorcycle parking! An added bonus after you thread your way through L.A. traffic to get there.
Bah, not shameless. The information helps helps fuel the riding enthusiasm.
A friend of mine (who owns several really nice bikes he never rides) told me about this exhibit, and it being sold out.

Sounds like your friend needs a trusted "bike exerciser" like yourself to make sure the bikes don't get stagnant. For free, of course - what are friends for?

The Italian bike exhibit is on-going. Only the premiere event was sold out. Going there Sunday.

PD, that is an excellent idea! I'll mention that important task when I see him today at our fave taco shack at the beach.
Missed you, Peking! Had to leave early Sunday to go fix Mom's Saturn. Ugh.

Went to the once-a-month car show at the Petersen at 8am, for 2 hours, so had enough. A real Ford GT40 and Porsche 904 longtail, and the Pete Brock/Shelby/De Tomaso P70 racer, plus lots of Cobras and GT350s, and lots of copies of them, all in the parking lot.

I'll save the Italian bikes for another day.
As I'm coming up the street when they do their monthly cruise-in events, I can usually judge how cool they are by how many guys are standing out on the street with cameras to catch the cars as they're leaving. Lots of 'em that day for sure.
