Wouldn't want to jinx you or Sea, Cormanus. Glad it was a false alarm.
Rode the FJR today. Had to go to grocery to pick up a few things and hadn't ridden it in 5 days. It's not as easy to shift as the CB causing more pain in the foot. The shifter is in tighter to the motor so have to lower and twist the toe in to upshift, and I dont think it shifts as smoothly as the CB. Anyhow rode to the store, took the long way home making it a 59 mile loop , came home took some meds and then elevated and iced the foot.

This has been a tough bout, normally feeling better by now. Getting old is not for sissies lol.

Ferret , I’m glad you got out sorry about the pain! Last year I had a a realization that if I want to keep riding I would need a change.

I had bad sciatica hip and back. I looked at myself and did just that last May I weighed 274 pounds. I bought a new mountain bike. I quit eating sugar and bread. Dropped 40 pounds in 5 months.

At five months in I looked deeper being 56 I don’t want to be put on the old man plan meds and special diet never had High blood pressure, Diabetes, Heart disease . So November 19’ I went Vegan !! Absolutely love it weight this am 203. 34” waist. And have about 20 more to go!

But I tell you what riding on the CB. Have been way more enjoyable! For me this will be the key for aging and riding.

Need to do some adjustments to the suspension I put ikon shocks on told them to set it up for 275 pounder. Oh well I really feel a healthy diet can cure a lot of issues. Anyway always enjoy your posts and how much you ride! Thank you.
