I’ve touted the virtues of HaulBikes for years but for my most recent moto purchase I tried U-Ship and was connected to a dealership who buys bikes in Colorado and trailers them back to SoCal for resale. He picked up my bike from the seller in Las Vegas and delivered it to me in three days, at a price HaulBikes couldn’t touch.

I used U-ship to find someone to have my dyno brought from Colorado to NJ last month.
It is a intermediary between shippers and receivers- so you will get bids from various shipping companies and can look at their profile / reviews.
You might get a professional polished shipper- you might get a guy with a pickup truck that is trying to make a few bucks. Just do your research and don't pick the first guy that throws a bid at you.
Also- U-ship charges a fee on top of what the shipper quote is- BUT they offer a military discount that waves that fee for those of you that have served.

Even with the fee, which they didn’t waive for me, the bid I received through U-Ship was nearly $200 less than HaulBikes and was in an enclosed trailer with sufficient insurance. Plus, HaulBikes was promising delivery in 4-6 weeks, where this guy did it in less than a week. YMMV.

You need to sign up to have the military status applied to your account-
https://connect.uship.com/discounted-military-shipping/
Whenever you are shopping online- type into your search engine the following (Uship as an example)-
military site:uship.com
and it will give search results for any page that site has for whatever search term you put before the site url. Very useful for all sorts of googling.
I received a few quotes- the person I picked had the best reviews, transports off the ground (since my dyno is a trailer they could have pulled it) and was $600 less than another quote I received to pull it.

Dubs’ search method works well on this forum too.
