FWIW, I had the OEM heated grips installed by the dealership when I bought the bike right out of the crate. They have worked flawlessly, and they are unobtrusive in the looks department.

I used to run the kind where you put the element under your grips but after forgetting to shut them off a couple times and killing the battery I was done with that style. I also didn't like how hot the one grip would get and the other one would hardly feel warm.

The Oxford grips look good. Where/how did you mount the switch? Does it have a bracket?
Looks like the bracket is $4.95
Mine came with a simple metal bracket that I mounted to the clutch master with some double sided sticky tape. I'll try to remember to take a picture of it tonight.
I used Oxford heated grips on my ST 1300. I thought they were great. They came with a little metal bracket that mounted under one of the switch clamp bolts.
