A friend of mine is an accomplished painter. He must be since it is his sole source of income.

He painted this for my wife recently and we hung it this afternoon. It depicts a road, winding through harvested grass fields and presumably leading to the Black Hills of South Dakota seen in the distance.

Cheryl is fascinated with riding past these giant rolls of grass and the Black Hills are her “happy place”. The painting hangs over the fireplace in our family room where I’m sure we will enjoy it for years to come on days when we’re not able to be out riding.

Very nice painting, mtc. The Black Hills, the expanse...invites one to ride.
Very nice indeed MTC!
Lovely painting, MTC and Cheryl. What a joy for a motorcyclist to crest a rise and see that vista ahead.
Peaceful and surreal MTC. Cool

The photos are great, but I just need to close my eyes to see the familiar. I’m more than a little certain that riding with you in SD is one of the reasons Cheryl has fallen in love with the area.
