I rode to the coast Saturday and ended up in Port Orford.

Thought about you so I videoed going through town to Battle Rock park.

Then down to the dock. I believe this is the only port on the Oregon coast that lifts the boats out of the water each day.

On to Coast Guard hill up to the old life boat station.

Where I stopped on the way down was the beginning of the 530 step stairs 300 feet down to the boat houses at sea level.

A picture of where the boat houses use to be.

Nice photo, husky. I couldn't view the video as it is marked private on YouTube.

I changed that thanks Cormanus.
Thanks husky. It worked well in HD.

Kevin- Thanks, I saw many of my favorite spots on your tour. The hike out and around the headlands on Coast Guard hill, and the spot you took the still is, great. Lesli and I rode the CB there last summer and loved the area. Here's a shot from near the lighthouse at Cape Blanco.

The roads from I-5 to the coast are all good motorcycle rides as well.
THANKS again-- Jon Z
I wish I could take credit for the Picture but I can,t. It came from a web site about the station. The only stops in Port Orford were at my nieces restaurant ( Paradise Cafe ) and the house that I grew up in.

Cool shot I'm surprised You could stand up long enough to take a picture. There is usually a pretty stiff wind blowing out there.

Husky, Great sound track on the video! Especially the Dire Straights selection. I have every song on my IPhone Road Music Playlists.

I also have all dire straights tunes on my iPhone to. I use the Uclear SBC100 plus blue tooth to connect helmet to phone. It works pretty well. need to upgrade to the pulse pro speakers though they are suppose to have better bass.
